Rehabilitation of sports injuries - Sports Rehab

Rehabilitation of sports injuries - Sports Rehab

The popularity of sporting activities - in all its forms - has continued to grow steadily in recent years.

In addition to professional athletes, who are often faced with injuries, there are also amateur level athletes with the same chances of injury.

Injuries in sport are a common occurrence.

The strain of constant training, the intensity of training for maximum performance and the need for the athlete to return as soon as possible to the playing field are among the main causes of injuries.

The athlete must return to their competitive and training obligations with full functionality and safety. Sports Physiotherapy is a basic method for the rehabilitation of sports injuries.

One of the main goals of sports physiotherapy is the prevention of sports injuries through assessment.

Physiotherapy assessment aims to identify muscle imbalances in the joints and any errors in sports technique. In addition, the biomechanical analysis of the anatomical and kinetic chain of even the most remote joints is particularly important.

What to expect during your appointment:

Comprehensive recording of the patient's history and how it may affect your injury.

Evaluation of range of motion, force and accurate biomechanical analysis.

A complete insight of your injury, answering any questions you may have.

Creation of a complete individualized rehabilitation plan by setting both short-term and long-term goals.

Re-evaluation of the rehabilitation plan at regular intervals and re-setting of goals if necessary.

Retraining and correction of technique errors during the exercise, as well as a special set of exercises to prevent future injuries.
